The performance improvement was achieved with:

• Application of the new “Long Life” hydrostatic units;
• The tables are driven by a “Direct Drive” torque motor.

Tool life has been increased by effect:

• Presence of “Long Life” Hydrostatic Units;
• Application of high pressure lubrication and cooling system with fluid passage through the tool;
• Recesses with fluid passage through the tool;
• Adaptive control of cutting parameters depending on the tool wear status;
• Special cycles that allow, even in the presence of difficult-to-machine materials such as: steel, stainless steel, cast iron and “lead-free brass”, to obtain optimal tool life values.

The reduction in operating costs was achieved with:

• Better accessibility to systems and mechanical parts, reducing intervention times;
• By pressurizing the main table, spindles, recesses, vises and thus isolating these groups from the work environment;
• Using a controlled temperature of the lubricating-cooling fluid compared to that present in the environment to the advantage of precision and consistency of performance;
• The application of the Save Energy function which returns to the network the energy recovery generated during the braking phases of the Axes;
• Scheduled maintenance guided by information stored on the CNC.
